When Merket Alumni Center opened in April 1995, it was heralded as an architectural work of stunningly understated beauty, elegance and class. Since then it has served as the campus home of Texas Tech University alumni and students as they gather for banquets, awards and ring ceremonies, meetings, receptions,
weddings and more.
To meet the growing needs of this beautiful facility, you are invited to make a tax-deductible contribution
to the capital campaign which will add 10,694 square feet of space, including:
• The Peggy and Bill Dean Grand Reception Hall
• 3 new meeting/banquet rooms that, when combined with the present three,
will create the new 600-seat Grand Ballroom
• New kitchen, staging and planning areas
• A bridal suite
• New offices for the TTAA marketing staff
• A second courtyard with gazebo
• The Texas Tech Leaders Plaza with 6' Bronze Sculpture of Tech Class Ring
